This is the first day on a brand new blog. Whatever shall I say?! Since this is a blog about editorial services, I suppose it would behoove me to say something about that.
Who needs editing services, and why? If you're a writer, you already know that editing is crucial to a good (and saleable) book. If you're lucky enough to have been published by a well known publisher, your editing needs are almost certainly covered in-house. Many of the small presses, however, aren't equipped to provide full editing services. The same holds true, and perhaps more so, if you're self-publishing. Before your manuscript hits the press, you want to ensure that it is as letter-perfect as humanly possible. By employing an editor to comb through it with a fine-toothed comb for typos, spelling errors, grammar boo-boos, and syntax glitches, you're taking an important step toward that goal.
